WhatsApp, the messaging app owned by Meta, is introducing a new in-app dialer feature, according to a report by WABetaInfo. This feature, available to some beta testers, allows users to place calls quickly via a floating action button located within the calls tab.
The in-app dialer enables users to make calls directly without needing to add contacts to their address book or open a conversation manually. After entering a phone number on the dialer, users can also save it as a new contact or add it to an existing contact card.
Furthermore, a messaging shortcut on the dialer screen allows users to send a message to a phone number they intended to dial.
