As the Google Pixel 9a is set to launch next year as the successor to the Pixel 8a model, alleged live photos of the purported Pixel 9a model have surfaced online in another hands-on leak.

This week, a user shared images of what appears to be a Pixel 9a prototype on the social media platform X. Earlier, a similar prototype surfaced online in August with renders of the device hitting the web a few weeks later.

The images show the updated design of Google Pixel’s upcoming model with the new camera design, ditching Google’s signature camera bar that’s been used since the Pixel 6 launched.

The upcoming model of the Pixel 9 series, which introduced four devices to the market already, will be equipped with the new Tensor G4 chipset, paired with 8 GB of RAM.

The images that surfaced online showed the screen offering a slightly better indication of the bezels, which appear in line with previous generations. The Pixel 9a will sport a 13 MP front-facing camera inside a punch-hole cutout, as per the details.

Pixel 9a will be powered by a modified Tensor G4 processor, will be slightly larger than Pixel 8a, has a new primary camera and a much bigger battery, and could launch as soon as March 2025.

In addition to that, the phone will include a 13 MP ultrawide camera, providing versatility in capturing wider shots. For selfies, the Pixel 9a will sport a 13 MP front-facing camera inside a punch-hole cutout, ensuring high-quality self-portraits.
