In a recent address to the youth of Pakistan, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir highlighted the pivotal role of the younger generation in shaping the nation’s future.

General Munir began by expressing his confidence in the youth, stating, “Seeing the sparkle in your eyes assures me that Pakistan’s future is in safe hands.” He urged them to appreciate the value of living in a free state, referencing the struggles of people in Libya, Syria, Kashmir, and Gaza.

Moreover, he stated the importance of knowledge, noting that it is what distinguishes individuals from one another. He also highlighted the state’s duty to shield the public from the chaos and discord that social media can generate, reinforcing the necessity of a strong bond between the people, the government, and the military as the foundation of Pakistan’s security and development.

In addition, addressing recent economic concerns, General Munir questioned the narrative of Pakistan’s default, implying its fallacy, and reminded the youth that despair is forbidden in Islam.

Furthermore, during a Q&A session, the Army Chief addressed various concerns from the youth. On the issue of the Parachinar riots, he called for tribal unity to resolve land and sectarian disputes.

He praised the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their steadfast support in the fight against terrorism, a struggle they have endured alongside the Pakistan Army for 22 years, and expressed his belief that divine assistance would lead to a decisive victory against terrorism.
