WEBDESK: Pakistan’s famous cueist Muhammad Asif wins the SAARC Snooker Championship on Friday.
Asif performed flawlessly in the final, defeating a Sri Lankan cueist with an impressive 5-0 frame score, asserting his dominance throughout the tournament.
However, Asif faced tough competition in the semi-final against compatriot Naseem Akhtar.
The best-of-nine-frames match saw Asif secure a hard-fought 5-3 victory to advance to the final.
Asif’s adds another prestigious achievement to Pakistan’s rich snooker history. Fans and sports enthusiasts have praised his accomplishment, celebrating yet another proud milestone for the nation.
Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif congratulates Pakistani snooker player Muhammad Asif on winning his third SAARC Snooker Championship. He said, “Muhammad Asif has made the nation proud by winning a prestigious snooker championship.”
“The entire nation is proud of you,” he added. The PM also expressed his best wishes for Muhammad Asif’s future endeavours.
