Pakistan’s Imam-ul-Haq has posted pictures of himself on Instagram after not being included in the national team squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

“Not the outcome I expected, but the journey isn’t over. This is how life is—it’s all about growth and getting stronger with every hurdle. Patience and trust in Allah is the key!” he wrote on Instagram.

His wife, Anmol also showed him support in the comment section.

Imam played his last international match in December 2023 against Australia.

In this tournament, Mohammad Rizwan will lead the green shirts, with all-rounder Salman Ali Agha serving as his deputy.

The squad also includes three players from the 2017 title-winning team: Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, and Fakhar Zaman.

Pakistan ready to host Champions Trophy

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi assured that all preparations for Champions Trophy 2025 are on schedule and dismissed concerns about delays in stadium renovations.

Naqvi confirmed that the reconstruction of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore had been completed and would be inaugurated by Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on February 7. Similarly, Karachi’s National Stadium will be inaugurated by President Asif Ali Zardari on February 11.

Pakistan will play against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi, and the exciting match between Pakistan and India is set for February 23 in Dubai.
