KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced its decision to drop a major age relaxation provision for applicants looking to secure government jobs.
According to details, the Sindh government ’15-year age relaxation will cease to exist for jobs applicants from January 1, 2025. Applicants above 28 years of age won’t be able to apply for government jobs in Sindh starting next year.
What is the current age relaxation for government jobs in Sindh?
The current age relaxation for government jobs in Sindh is 15 years, allowing individuals of up to 43 years to apply for government jobs. This relaxation was approved in 2018 as a temporary measure to facilitate the general public.
With its abolition, many overage candidates are bound to find themselves ineligible for government employment.
At the time of this writing, the standard age limit for government jobs in Sindh is between 18 and 28 years old. The government’s latest decisions aim to standardise recruitment practices across all departments.
