Shaheen Shah Afridi climbs in latest T20 ranking

LONDON: Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has made significant strides in the latest T20 player rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Shaheen Afridi has ascended three places, now securing the 12th position among the world’s best T20 bowlers with a rating of 631.

Leading the list is England’s Adil Rashid, with Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga and India’s Axar Patel following closely in second and third places, respectively.

Among Pakistani bowlers, Haris Rauf holds the 25th position with a rating of 574, with no other Pakistani player making it to the top 20 T20 bowlers.

The rankings also feature Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, who has moved up two spots to claim seventh place.

In terms of top T20 batsmen, Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan and captain Babar Azam hold the third and fourth positions with ratings of 769 and 761, respectively.

India’s Suryakumar Yadav secures the top spot among T20 batters, with England’s Phil Salt following in second place.

England’s captain Jos Buttler has climbed one place to seventh in the T20 batters list.

The all-rounder category is led by Sri Lanka’s Hasaranga with a rating of 228, followed by Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan in second place.

Pakistan’s Imad Wasim has jumped four places to jointly hold the 12th position among T20 all-rounders, alongside teammate Shadab Khan, who has dropped one spot in the rankings.
