Schools across Islamabad and Rawalpindi have declared a holiday on September 9, due to the law and order situation in the twin cities
The decision was made by school administrations in response to the prevailing conditions.
The decision was made following alarming security conditions in the cities as PTI workers and police clashed on Sunday.
“Dear Students & Parents, Lahore Grammar School, under its Pastoral Care policy of safeguarding its students has been closely monitoring the ongoing situation in the twin cities. In light of the instability prevalent in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Lahore Grammar School Islamabad will remain closed on Monday, 9th September 2024. The reopening of the school will be announced after a careful evaluation of the security situation tomorrow,” a message from a private school in Islamabad read.
Several private schools, including Lahore Grammar, Beaconhouse, Westminster, and City School, will remain closed on September 9, Monday.
However, the government or local administrator of Islamabad has yet not issued any notification regarding any holiday on September 9.
