Pakistan set a new milestone as Affan Salman led the country to its fifth World Youth Scrabble Championship (WYSC) title in Sri Lanka.

The 16-year-old Affan Salman emerged as the World Youth Scrabble Champion, winning 19 out of 23 games during the tournament. Pakistan is now the first nation to secure the WYSC title this many times, with 138 players from around the globe competing in the event.

The World Youth Scrabble Championship (WYSC) is open to anyone under 18 as of January 1 of the tournament year. The tournament has been hosted in Malaysia five times, Australia twice, and Dubai twice, with one event each held in the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and the United Kingdom.
