A group of robbers caused quite the trouble for authorities when they used tech tools to commit a massive robbery in DHA Lahore, getting away with Rs15 million in loot.

A gang of five robbers reportedly stole valuables, including gold and cash, worth over Rs15 million from a house in Defence Lahore. The criminals used a “special device and blocked signals by jamming Bluetooth or wireless signals for cell phones, GPS and Wi-Fi” to commit robbery.

They were able to evade law enforcement personnel by using Motorway to reach a Faisalabad interchange, evading the special teams at Islamabad and Sargodha exit points in the process.

Social media users were quick to react to the use of tech tools by the gang to commit robbery, with many comparing the incident to Netflix’s hit series Money Heist.

“Money heist lovers, ” said a user on Instagram. Another chimed in by saying, “They must be Watch Dogs game players.”

“Must have seen a lot of episodes of animal kingdom,” another commented.

The gang remains at large at the time of this writing.
