Wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan is expected to become the T20I and ODI captain of the Pakistan cricket team.

Mohammad Rizwan’s meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi ended. According to the sources, Mohsin Naqvi has decided to appoint Mohammad Rizwan as the T20 and ODI captain.

Sources say that the suggestion of appointing Mohammad Rizwan as the captain was made by head coach Gary Kirsten and the selectors also supported the appointment of Mohammad Rizwan as the white ball captain.

Sources said that it has been proposed to appoint Salman Ali Agha as the vice-captain.

The PCB selectors finalised the white ball squad for the tour of Australia yesterday and it was considered to include the players who performed in the Champions ODI Cup for the tour of Australia, as per sources.
