Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ Housing Program on Wednesday, designed to assist low-income individuals without homes.

CM Maryam highlighted that the project targets the housing needs of the most vulnerable groups. The initiative is set to offer affordable housing options to low-income families, including workers and laborers, providing them with a chance to own their homes.

Eligibility

The Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Scheme 2024 is aimed at providing affordable housing through accessible installment plans and a straightforward application process.

Eligible applicants must reside in Punjab, belong to a low-income family earning less than Rs60,000 per month, and be government employees without existing homeownership.

Payment Plan

Under the scheme, each apartment is priced at Rs1.5 million, with a government subsidy making it affordable. Beneficiaries are required to pay only 40% of the total cost, which can be settled through manageable monthly installments of Rs14,000.

The scheme plans to build over 3,000 homes in each district, starting with five major cities: Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Rawalpindi. In Lahore, the initial phase will involve constructing 5,000 homes near Raiwind Road.

Citizens can apply for loans under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Scheme via the Punjab Information Technology Board portal or by calling the toll-free number 0800-09100 for further details.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz highlighted that the initiative has finally turned the long-awaited dream of “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” into a reality.
