Punjab Police have detained 16 individuals accused of initiating a social media campaign surrounding the alleged Lahore private college incident.
According to DIG Imran Kishwar, The investigation also led to the blocking of 138 social media accounts identified for disseminating false news, and authorities reported identifying 40 students involved in protest-related vandalism.

DIG Kishwar highlighted ongoing actions against those spreading misinformation to incite unrest. The social media campaign began after rumors of the alleged incident circulated widely, sparking student protests and demonstrations across Lahore and other cities in Punjab.
