PPP boycott Budget 24-25 session, Shazia Marri

WEB DESK: Pakistan Peoples Party leader Shazia Marri has stated that the Pakistan People’s Party has decided not to participate in the budget session.

Shazia Marri mentioned that in the second meeting of the parliamentary party, it was decided that they would not attend the budget session but also boyocott.

She further highlighted that their members have very serious concerns and the government should listen to them and address these concerns.

She said that they wanted to be included in the budget consultation, but they were only invited to listen to the budget speech. Therefore, they have decided not to participate in this session.

PPP ends boycott and Budget session starts

The Pakistan People’s Party has agreed to attend the budget session, but the Chairman of the People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto, has left the assembly and gone home. The members of the People’s Party have arrived at the assembly hall, and the budget session has begun under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq.

A federal budget of more than 18 trillion rupees will be presented today, with a revenue target set at over 12 trillion rupees.
