No contact with CM Gandapur, possibilty of Governor rule in KP: Barrister Saif
According to PTI’s Barrister Saif, there has been no contact with Gandapur since the beginning of the day.
Earlier today, the CM had informed that he was travelling to Islamabad to attend a meeting. However, Barrister Saif notes that attempts to reach the Chief Minister’s office have been unsuccessful, with the staff’s contact numbers also proving unresponsive.
The barrister also claimed that discussions are taking place in the province regarding the implementation of Governor’s Rule.
Sher Afzal Marwat’s arrest:
Earlier, Marwat was arrested outside the Parliament in Islamabad. Marwat resisted the arrest and asked the police to show arrest warrant.
In a separate action, Shoaib Shaheen was also arrested from his residence. More arrests of PTI leaders are also expected.
The arrests are being made due to the PTI leadership’s failure to comply with the NOC for public gatherings on the outskirts of Islamabad.
A day earlier, PTI organised a rally in Islamabad, demading their founder Imran Khan’s release.
