ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Sher Afzal Marwat said that founding chairman Imran Khan will get out of jail in the first or second week of Ramazan in March.

In a conversation on a state-run PTV News programme, the PTI Member National Assembly (MNA) from Lakki Marwat said that talks between the government and PTI will process smoothly.

He accused a group abroad of running a campaign against him and warned he would respond.

He alleged some individuals earned thousands on social media while claiming ties to PTI. He said PTI workers face insults instead of recognition and are even labeled traitors.

Marwat clarified he has not attacked Shahbaz Gill, despite Gill making videos against him. He urged supporters to stop escalating conflicts.

In another interview, Marwat said he promised PTI to avoid controversies, especially party secretary general Salman Akram Raja’s case. He warned others against speaking publicly about him.

Marwat accused pressure groups in PTI of misleading Imran Khan. He denied forming any group and said he values Khan’s respect.

He said negotiations will continue and urged both sides to focus on solutions. He criticized National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq for failing to set meeting agendas.

Marwat said PTI has made fair demands and shown restraint. He accused the government of trying to create discord but expressed hope for progress through talks.
