ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan has announced a nationwide protest and march towards Islamabad on November 24.
Speaking to the media outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail after meeting her brother, Aleema Khan, Imran Khan’s sister, confirmed the date of protest rally.
She said that the demonstration will focus on political and economic issues affecting the country. She said that PTI supporters has been directed to participate in the protest.
Imran Khan, currently incarcerated at Adiala Jail for over one year has called on citizens to join the protest in a show of solidarity.
Aleema Khan added that the November 24 rally will serve as a platform to demand urgent reforms and safeguard democratic rights.
Earlier, on November 9, PTI held a massive protest demonstration in Swabi district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing the protest, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated that PTI would hold a decisive protest rally in Islamabad in November, with the date to be announced by Imran Khan.
