In an exclusive interview with Azaad Digital, Fawad Chaudhry, the former Information Minister during PTI’s tenure candidly admitted that cutting ties with the establishment under pressure from within the party and on Imran Khan’s orders was a mistake.

“Whenever I look back, I realise that we made a mistake by severing ties with the establishment,” Chaudhry remarked.

He said that this decision widened the gap between PTI and the establishment, giving political opponents an advantage.

Chaudhry also criticised PTI’s current leadership, expressing doubts about the efficacy of the legal strategy to secure Imran Khan’s release.

He pointed out that within PTI, politicians have been sidelined, with “lawyers now running the show”.

Chaudhry expressed deep admiration for Imran Khan, acknowledging that Khan included him in every important meeting and decision

Fawad Chaudhry calls Sher Afzal Marwat “wonderful”

During the interview, Fawad called sarcastically Sher Afzal Marwat “a wonderful man”.

Recently, in another interview, Fawad Chaudhry called PTI current leadership a complete failure.

He was of the view that “eligible” politicians like Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pervaiz Elahi, and Asad Qaiser should lead the party. And that the present PTI leaders should stop “foolish talks.”

In response, Sher Afzal Marwat said that Fawad has no right to criticise the current party leadership. Marwat said that “no matter how much of a failure our leadership is, at least we stuck by Imran Khan in hard times and did not run away like him.”
