The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released a revised schedule for the three ICC World Test Championship matches between Pakistan and England, set to take place from October 7 to October 28, 2024.
Due to renovations at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, the second Test, initially scheduled for October 15-19, has been moved to Multan Cricket Stadium. The first and third Tests will proceed as planned, taking place in Multan and Rawalpindi, respectively.
Karachi venue shifted due to renovation
The decision to move the second Test from Karachi was made as the National Bank Stadium undergoes major renovations in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Champions Trophy will also be hosted at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The England men’s cricket team is scheduled to arrive in Multan on October 2, with Pakistan’s team also assembling in the city on the same date.
