The Sindh High Court (SHC) has once again adjourned the hearing of appeals in the Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case, expressing dissatisfaction over continuous delays in submitting key reports.
Moreover, during the proceedings, the court issued a show-cause notice to SSP East for failing to present a report on the status of deceased accused individuals.
In addition, defense lawyers cited the illness of key accused, Wajid Durrani and Rai Tahir, as the reason for their absence. The court questioned whether illness or Supreme Court assignments could justify their non-appearance.

The court was further informed that four other accused—Shahid Hayat, Shabbir Qaimkhani, Agha Jameel, and Masood Sharif—had passed away, complicating the case’s progress.
Furthermore, Justice Nimat Phalphuto expressed frustration over the long-standing delays, noting that the appeals have been pending since 2010. The case has been adjourned until November 7.
