Sarim Burney, a prominent human rights activist, has been detained by the Anti-Human Trafficking Police in Karachi, as per ARY News. Sources indicate that Burney is suspected of being involved in serious offenses, including human trafficking, and has been sought after for some time by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). His arrest took place upon his arrival at Karachi Airport from the United States, following extensive monitoring of his activities by the authorities.
Burney has been apprehended by the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Team, and a legal team has been dispatched to the FIA office to confer with him.
