Rawalpindi faces rising dengue outbreak

Dengue fever cases are increasing in Rawalpindi, with 14 new infections reported in the last 24 hours.

The Health Department notes that patients are being treated at various facilities: 4 at Holy Family Hospital, 4 at District Headquarters Hospital, and 1 at BBH Hospital.

Moreover, the department has inspected 11,000 homes, finding dengue larvae in 796 of them.

In response, the Rawalpindi Health Department has taken substantial measures this year, including registering 1,512 cases for regulatory breaches, sealing 442 locations, issuing 1,483 challan tickets, and imposing fines totaling Rs6,253,200.
