The Punjab Home Department has asked the federal government to partially suspend mobile services in 10 districts on August 27, during the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA).
The Punjab Home Department has written to the federal government, requesting a temporary suspension of mobile services in districts where processions and gatherings are anticipated.

Mobile services will be suspended from 5 AM to 11 PM in 10 districts, including Rawalpindi, Jhang, Layyah, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Chakwal, and Toba Tek Singh.
In the rest of Punjab, including Lahore, services will continue as usual. The targeted suspensions in certain districts are intended to ensure security and maintain order during the Chehlum commemorations.
