LAHORE: The Punjab government introduces the Business Card Scheme, offering financial support to entrepreneurs across the province and unlocking development opportunities on Saturday.
The decision was finalised today at a meeting chaired by Chief Punjab Minister Maryam Nawaz. The proposal will enable funds up to Rs30 million for the Chief Minister’s Easy Business Financing Scheme and assign specific zones for small and medium-sized industries in major cities to facilitate smooth business.
Features of business card scheme
Under this scheme, loans from Rs100,000 to Rs1 million will be given. Beneficiaries will also enjoy a three-month grace period after the payment of the first installment. The repayment period is 5 years, making it financially easier for borrowers.
They cannot be used in ten defined areas such as restaurants; Business Card use will have restrictions. Priority loans are allocated for IT startups under Nawaz Sharif IT City, showing the government’s commitment further to nurturing technology innovation.

It shows how the Punjab government wants to develop entrepreneurs to raise economic growth, accessibility of funds for small and medium enterprises better coinages for job opportunities, industrial activity improvement, and the new technology sector of this province in addition to that.
