ISLAMABAD: At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Asif Ali Zardari will pay a state visit to China on Tuesday for a four-day trip.
State broadcast Radio Pakistan reported that the President would hold meetings with Chinese leadership, including President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang and other senior Chinese leaders during his state visit. The president will be accompanied by a high-level delegation during his visit which will be continued to February 8.
Pakistan foreign ministry Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said in a statement that He will also attend the Shanghai World Exhibition on November 05.
The Pakistani delegation will discuss CPEC Phase 2, Pak-China bilateral ties, regional and global security issues and other matters of mutual interest with the Chinese leadership.
President Zardari will attend the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, Heilongjiang, at China’s special invitation.
The foreign ministry said that it reaffirms mutual support on key issues, boosts economic cooperation, and strengthens regional peace and stability.

First Lady Asifa Bhutto Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi are part of the high-level delegation.
