Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken immediate action against a police officer involved in the assault of a citizen. She ordered the officer’s arrest and emphasised the importance of equal respect for all individuals.
“If the police deserve respect, does an ordinary citizen not deserve the same?” she questioned, highlighting her commitment to justice.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif reaffirmed her stance on citizens’ dignity, stating, “I deeply care about the dignity of every citizen.”
She further vowed to protect the rights of the common man, declaring, “I will not allow anyone to oppress or mistreat the people.”
