The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned in the strongest terms the recent terrorist attack in Karachi that claimed the lives of two Chinese engineers and left another injured. The attack occurred near Karachi airport late last night and has been described as a heinous act of terrorism.

“We extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, both Chinese and Pakistani,” the Foreign Office said in a statement. “We also offer prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.”

The ministry emphasised that this act was not just an attack on Pakistan but also on the deep-rooted friendship between Pakistan and China. “Pakistan remains resolute in bringing to justice those responsible for this cowardly attack,” it said, specifically mentioning the Majeed Brigade.

The statement also highlighted that Pakistan’s security and law enforcement agencies would leave no stone unturned in apprehending the perpetrators and their facilitators. “This barbaric act will not go unpunished.”

The Foreign Ministry further noted that they are in close contact with the Chinese Embassy to ensure coordination and support in the aftermath of the attack.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment, the ministry stated, “Pakistan and China are iron-brothers, united by a bond of mutual respect and shared destiny.” The government reassured that the safety of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions in Pakistan remains a top priority.
