ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) joined a multi-nation aerial combat exercise in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the PAF contingent comprising JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter jets alongside dedicated air and ground crew has landed at King Abdul Aziz Air Base. The PAF contingent will participate in a multi-national aerial combat exercise “Spears of Victory-2025”.
The aerial combat exercise hosted by Saudi Arabia will see the participation from Pakistan, Bahrain, France, Greece, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
“For this International deployment, PAF fighters flew nonstop from home base in Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, carrying out inflight Air-to-Air refuelling; showcasing long-range employment capabilities of JF-17 Block-III Aircraft,” the ISPR statement read.
The PAF’s participation demonstrates its commitment to regional and international cooperation. It also highlights its ability to operate effectively in diverse and challenging environments alongside modern air forces.
This is the fifth “Spears of Victory” exercise hosted by the Royal Saudi Air Force. The event strengthens interoperability among participating air forces, focusing on advancing technology, complex airpower applications, and shared aerial defense challenges.

PAF fighters completed a non-stop flight from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia for this deployment. They performed in-flight air-to-air refueling, showcasing the JF-17 Block-III aircraft’s long-range operational capabilities.
