WEBDESK: Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has declared 2024 a successful year for Pakistan on the diplomatic front, despite global and regional challenges.

Speaking to the media, Mumtaz Baloch highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen ties with nations globally and deepen its relationship with traditional allies.

She also highlighted Pakistan’s leadership in major international organisations such as the United Nations (UN), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

As the chair of the SCO Heads of Government Meeting, Pakistan hosted a highly successful summit in Islamabad in October, showcasing its ability to promote regional cooperation.

She also addressed Pakistan’s consistent stance on the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, condemning Israeli aggression. “We have strongly voiced our concerns and worked with other nations to demand accountability and restraint from Israel,” she said.

Pakistan’s role in advocating for peace and stability was evident through its participation in multilateral forums and its collaboration with the global community on critical issues.

“The alarming situation in the Middle East calls for urgent collective action, and Pakistan remains committed to advocating for justice and curbing aggressive policies,” Baloch added.
