LAHORE: In an unprecedented incident, an unidentified individual threw a fake “time device” outside the Jati Umra in Lahore and escaped the scene, private channel 24 News HD reported.
According to the sources, a man riding a car threw a time device attached to a small replica of a lion outside the main gate of Jati Umra.
At first, the suspects gave the device to the security at the main gate and told them to take this gift inside. Over the refusal from security guards, the men threw that outside the main gate.
Following the incident, a heavy contingent of police reached the scene and called the bomb disposal squad. The police also closed the road leading to Jati Umra for traffic.
However, the bomb disposal squad personnel checked the time device and declared it a toy. The police have initiated an investigation to trace the man who created chaos.
