Representatives from major political parties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gathered at the Chief Minister’s House for a jirga on Thursday.

Attendees included Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Aimal Wali Khan, Amir Muqam, and Mohsin Dawar. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was also present.

The jirga addressed recent incidents in WANA and Khyber, along with the broader security situation in the country.

Ali Amin Gandapur will not participate in the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM), jirga; instead, he will attend the jirga organized under his own supervision, to which all parties have been invited

In his opening remarks, Gandapur emphasised that jirgas are a traditional method for resolving disputes in the province. He asserted that violence is not a solution to any problem and that all issues should be settled through dialogue.
