ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has taken immediate action on the news of Azaad Digital regarding the death of a Rescue official, who was arrested during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) on November 26, 2024.
The media outlet, citing the victim’s family member, reported that the son of arrested Rescue 1122 driver Safirullah died. The report informed the government and rescue officials about the death of the arrested official’s son and the problem the family is facing.
After the news, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur took notice of the matter and issued immediate instructions to the concerned authorities.
Under his instructions, a delegation from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat consisting of Deputy Secretary Admin Taimur Shah, Director General Rescue 1122 Dr. Muhammad Ayaz Khan, Director Finance Kamal Shah, Director Operation (South) Imran Khan, and District Emergency Officer Peshawar Ghayyur Mushtaq Khan were immediately sent to Safirullah’s house.
The delegation prayed for the Safirullah’s late son, Imad, and assured the family that the government was standing with them in difficult times. The delegation also assured full cooperation in various legal assistance and court proceedings for the release of the arrested driver.
On the visit, Deputy Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Admin Taimur Shah, provided cash financial assistance to the family of Safirullah on behalf of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
When Azad Digital contacted Karamatullah, the brother of the arrested driver Safirullah, he thanked the Azaad Digital team for becoming their voice. He expressed his wish that Azaad Digital continue to be the voice of the oppressed people and continue to struggle for the rights of the people with their freedom.
