LAHORE: The wedding festivities of Zayd Hussain, the grandson of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif, and son of Hussain Nawaz, will take place this month at Jati Umrah.
Jati Umrah is the residence of the Sharif family in Lahore.
According to family sources, the wedding festivities of Zayd Hussain will start from December 24, Ary Urdu has reported.
The Nikkah of Nawaz Sharif’s grandson will take place on December 25, and the Valima ceremony will take place on December 29.
Apart from the main wedding festivities, a Qawwali night and other events will also take place between December 24 and December 29.
The wedding festivities of Nawaz Sharif’s grandson will be attended by family, friends, and local and international dignitaries.
The details about who Zayd Hussain is getting married to have not been revealed yet.
The last wedding of the Sharif family, which made it to the headlines, was of Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar with Ayesha, the couple is now divorced.
The couple tied the knot in August 2021 in London, but their reception and remaining wedding festivities took place later in December of the same year.
The reception was held in Islamabad, and the Valima ceremony in Lahore, the hometown of the Sharif family.
The wedding ceremony was criticised on social media for many reasons, from lavish dresses to Maryam Nawaz’s choice of clothing.
