WEB DESK: Two valuable bulls, collectively worth PKR 10 million, tragically died due to electrocution at the Sindh Livestock Expo. The Sindh government had allocated a hefty PKR 130 million for organising the event.
The president of the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association, Shakir Umar Gujjar, blamed the overall shoddy organisation of the expo for the incident. He demanded compensation for the huge loss to the farmer from the Sindh government’s Livestock Department.
The event was footage in which one bull suddenly begins to have convulsions after being electrocuted. While there was initial confusion from onlookers as to what had taken place, eventually it would be seen that the bull had been electrocuted. People ran out of the way as the injured bull died. Less than a minute, the same happened to another bull.
The incident has stressed the need for safety measures and management practices within the event.
