ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday extended heartfelt greetings to the Christian community in Pakistan and worldwide on the day of Christmas

In the separate messages, they reaffirmed to hold Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of a democratic, inclusive, and prosperous Pakistan.

In his Christmas message, President Zardari emphasised religious harmony, mutual respect, and the protection of minority rights in Pakistan.

He urged the nation to combat intolerance and discrimination, ensuring that all individuals feel respected and safe.

Extending heartfelt greetings to the Christian community in Pakistan and worldwide, the president highlighted the teachings of Hazrat Isa (A.S) on love, compassion, and peace. He called for fostering an inclusive and harmonious society inspired by these values.

President Zardari underscored the constitutional guarantee of fundamental rights for all citizens, regardless of faith.

He reminded the nation of Quaid-e-Azam’s vision of Pakistan as a place where people of all religions could live as equal citizens.
