LAHORE: Pakistanis can now obtain visas online as Bangladesh Ambassador in Pakistan Muhammad Iqbal Khan has announced the relaxed visa conditions for Pakistanis.

He announced this during his visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI).

 

Addressing the occasion, Iqbal Khan said that the civilization and culture of Lahore need no introduction.

“The people of Bangladesh want to have a loving relationship with the people of Pakistan and an increase in cooperation between the two countries is the need of the hour,” he asserted. 

He said that the LCCI can play a role in increasing bilateral trade between Pakistan and Bangladesh, adding that the Bangladeshi people respect Pakistan and both countries should strengthen economic and financial cooperation.

Announcing the ease in visa policy, the Bangladeshi Ambassador said that Pakistani citizens can also obtain Bangladesh’s visas online.

Lahore Chamber of Commerce President Mian Abuzar Shad said that we are keen to increase trade with Bangladesh and our delegations will visit Bangladesh soon.

Earlier the Henley Passport Index report showed Pakistan has one of the weakest passports in the world.

Pakistani passport slips to fifth weakest in the global list, with a global ranking of 103, and offers visa-free access to only 33 countries.

According to The index Singapore passports are the strongest globally. Singaporean passport holders enjoy visa-free travel to 195 countries, followed by Japan in second place with access to 193 countries. Countries such as South Korea, France, and Germany share the third spot, granting entry to 192 countries without a visa.
