NetherRealm Studios has unveiled the July 2024 update for Mortal Kombat 1, introducing a host of updates designed to refine gameplay and address bugs. The latest patch includes general fixes, platform-specific improvements, and adjustments for various characters, promising a more polished and balanced gaming experience.

New Additions

  • Takeda Takahashi joins the roster as a new DLC fighter with early access.
  • Ferra Kameo is also added to the roster.
  • MK ’95 Skins for Reptile, Smoke, and Sub-Zero, as well as UMK3 skins for Rain and Ermac and an Order of Darkness skin for Quan Chi, are now available.

Platform-specific fixes

  • PC steam & epic games store: Enhanced game stability, resolved issues with 60 FPS Mode, and improvements to online modes.
    PlayStation: Added support for PlayStation Tournaments, alongside general fixes and adjustments including AI improvements and better screen reader functionality.

General fixes

  • The Mortal Kombat 1 update includes numerous visual and gameplay fixes, including resolution of issues with brutalities, trophies, and move lists.
  • Adjustments to character-specific moves and attacks, including fixes for rare bugs and inconsistencies.

  • Baraka: Enhanced hit advantage on Baraka Barrage and improved auto-facing on Death Spin.
  • Geras: Faster recovery for Slow Down move and improved health restoration for Fixed Point.
  • Havik: Fixed animation issues and missing sound effects.
  • Kenshi: Addressed issues with projectiles hitting Ancestor.
  • Kitana: Increased hit advantage on Edenian Dance.
  • Li Mei: Added new attacks and increased walk speed.
  • Liu Kang: Enhanced Dragon’s Tail hit advantage.
  • Nitara: Adjusted Dark Plunge and Bloody Bolt moves.
  • Raiden: Fixed Fatal Blow animation issues.
  • Reptile: Fixed buffs and lingering effects after specific moves.
  • Scorpion: Improved hit advantage on Side Kick and adjusted Sweeping Scorpion Tail.
  • Sindel: Fixed animation issues with Kartwheel.
  • Smoke: Improved recovery on Enhanced Vicious Vapors.
  • Sub-Zero: Enhanced hit region for Ice Klone and increased hit advantage on Heavy Toe.
  • Tanya: Adjusted airborne status during certain animations.
  • Omni-Man: Fixed issues with Fatal Blow and Invincible Rush.
  • Quan Chi: Added new attack Best Foot Backward.
  • Peacemaker: Corrected pushback and visual effects during Throw Escape.
  • Ermac: Fixed Fatal Blow and Brutality animation issues.
  • Homelander: Fixed bugs with Fatal Blow and Flight attacks.

  • Cyrax: Improved Self-Destruct and Kopter Chopper moves.
  • Darrius: Added new follow-up attacks and adjusted Twister Kicks.
  • Frost: Added Ice Wall move and fixed Forward Throw brutality issues.
  • Goro: Increased recharge rate for Punch Walk and adjusted Shokan Stomp.
  • Jax: Reduced recharge rate for Energy Wave.
  • Kung Lao: Fixed issues with Away We Go move.
  • Motaro: Adjusted Centaurian Warp and added armor to Fatal Blow Charge!.
  • Scorpion: Added Aura of Flame move.
  • Sektor: Enhanced missile attacks and adjusted Flame Thrower.
  • Shujinko: Fixed issues with Mimic attacks and Sub-Zero Slide animation.
  • Sub-Zero: Fixed Kold Shoulder and improved interactions with Kameos.
  • Khameleon: Adjusted vulnerability on various moves.
  • Janet Cage: Fixed issues with Stunt Double.
  • Mavado: Limited maximum height for Best Feet Forward and Nindrop moves.
