Mohsin Naqvi offers almost Rs 3 crore to each player if Pakistan wins T20 World Cup

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, has announced that each player will be awarded $100,000 (Rs2.7 crore) if the team wins the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to begin in June this year.

Earlier in the day, the PCB chairman met all players at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium ahead of the national side’s tours of Ireland and England.

During his two-hour stay with the team and officials, Naqvi held a detailed discussion over strategy, advising the national side to play without pressure and compete relentlessly on the field.

Furthermore, the PCB chief also reassured solving the problems faced by the players on a priority basis.

Highlighting individual brilliance, Naqvi presented special jerseys to Mohammad Rizwan and Naseem Shah for their stellar performances. Rizwan reached a milestone of 3,000 T20 runs, while Shah celebrated his achievement of bagging 100 wickets.

As part of their preparation, the team is currently undergoing a rigorous three-day training camp in Lahore, starting tomorrow, May 6. Following this, they will jet off to Ireland on May 7 for a series of matches.

Their first stop is Dublin, where they will engage in a three-match T20I series against Ireland from May 10 to May 14. Then, they will shift their focus to England for another thrilling series of four T20I matches.
