WEBDESK: Yasra Rizvi, a famous Pakistani actress, writer, and director, recently appeared on Ushna Shah’s show After Hours, discussing the perks of marrying a younger man. She said that younger men are more willing to help with tasks and are free from traditional hangups.
While talking about her marriage to Abdul Hadi, which gathered attention due to their age difference, Yasra highlighted the advantages of having a younger spouse. She also appreciated her husband’s tech-savviness, which complements her less tech-oriented skills.
Yasra also shared her views on becoming a mother later in life. She humorously said that she attended school events for her son, Ibn-e-Adam, where he played the role of a snake while her cousins’ children were already grown up.
Despite the challenges, Yasra embraces being a hands-on mother, though she admitted that it can occasionally feel monotonous. She cherishes her bond with her son, doing everything for him herself, and described their relationship as deeply fulfilling.
She also shared that receiving compliments is one of the hardest parts of her job, saying, “I don’t know how to react to such comments.”
Ushna Shah also praised her for consistently speaking out against taboo issues such as forced marriages and divorce shaming.
