Actress Nimrat Kaur, renowned for her performance in The Lunchbox opposite the late Irrfan Khan, has finally addressed rumors linking her to actor Abhishek Bachchan.
The Bollywood star, who has also gained recognition internationally for her role in the American TV series Homeland, recently responded to speculations of an alleged relationship with Bachchan after their collaboration on the Netflix film Dasvi.
In an interview with Zoom, Kaur expressed her frustration over the unfounded gossip, saying, “I could do anything, and people would still say what they want. There’s no stopping such gossip, and I prefer focusing on my work.”
Until now, Kaur had kept a dignified silence despite fans trolling her on social media and speculating about her role in the rumored separation between Abhishek and his wife, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The Bachchan family has refrained from commenting on either the alleged affair or any separation rumors.

The rumors surrounding Nimrat Kaur and Bachchan emerged from a viral Reddit post that suggested an affair between the two actors. Despite the public interest, neither Abhishek nor his family has addressed the gossip.

Amidst the tabloid speculation, Kaur and Bachchan remain focused on their upcoming film projects. Kaur is set to appear in Skyforce, produced by Maddock Films, where she stars alongside Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. The film marks her second collaboration with Kumar, following their successful pairing in the 2016 movie Airlift.
Abhishek Bachchan, meanwhile, is preparing for the release of I Want to Talk, directed by Shoojit Sircar. The film will showcase Bachchan in a unique role as a character dealing with a medical condition, navigating complex relationships in what is expected to be an emotional performance.
