WEB DESK: Irshad Bhatti has opened up about the reason why he decided to marry former actress Sama Raj for his second marriage.
Irshad Bhatti recently tied the knot for the second time, and videos and pictures from his nikkah are making the rounds on social media.
In a recent interview, Bhatti revealed the reason behind his decision to remarry after the passing of his first wife due to cancer.
In the interview, Bhatti said, “Today, I want to speak about my second marriage because people have been congratulating me on my decision. May Allah grant my late wife the highest place in Jannah. I have never shared pictures of my children because my first wife never wanted them to be in the public eye. We never appeared on Sohail Warraich’s show or similar programs.”
He further explained, “Deciding on a second marriage was difficult yet inevitable for me. When my first wife passed away, I lost multiple relationships along with her. I lost a friend, the mother of my children, my love, my best friend, and a positive person who always prayed for me. My children were very young. As a child, I had gone through a similar experience, losing my mother at a young age, and I did not want my children to endure the same pain that I did.”
Bhatti also added, “Our home needed a caretaker. Sama Raj was our closest friend. Although I never thought of marrying her because she was only a colleague and a friend, she stood by us in every difficult moment. My children spent time with her and were very comfortable around her.”
Bhatti’s decision to remarry comes nearly two years after the tragic passing of his first wife in 2022.
His kids were young when he had to go through this phase and Irshad has always talked about his wife and the support system that he lost when she left this world.
Known for his candid commentary and sharp analysis, Bhatti had previously hinted at his intentions to remarry.
