A shocking incident unfolded in Hamidpur village, Chandauli district, Uttar Pradesh when a wedding ceremony turned into a nightmare after the groom abandoned the event due to a delay in serving food. The bride, dressed in her wedding attire, was left heartbroken and waiting at the venue while the groom reportedly married someone else shortly thereafter.
The wedding, which had been arranged seven months earlier, began with traditional celebrations on December 22. The bride’s family had warmly welcomed the baraatis (groom’s wedding party) with sweets and later served dinner. However, tensions flared when a member of the groom’s party accused the hosts of delaying the serving of rotis, leading to the groom’s sudden exit.
The bride’s family initially approached the Industrial Nagar Police Station to file a complaint. When no action was taken, they escalated the matter to the Superintendent of Police (SP) on December 24.
