The ongoing debate between actress Resham and veteran director Syed Noor has intensified as both continue to air their grievances publicly about their professional history.

Syed Noor, a prominent figure in Pakistani cinema, recently appeared on Dr. Affan Qaiser’s podcast, where he shared his perspective on the strained relationship. Noor praised Resham’s intelligence but expressed disappointment that she does not regard him as a key mentor, despite his role in launching her career.

Noor mentioned, “Resham is an intelligent person. Unfortunately, she dislikes me as her teacher, even though I introduced her to the film industry. She values Ayub Khawar and a select few others as her teachers. I take pride in having introduced, launched, and groomed her and put effort into her appearance. I have no complaints about her.”

Noor also addressed the current state of Resham’s career, stating, “I don’t know why she isn’t getting work or why she’s not being cast. At present, I don’t have a role for her, but if one becomes available that suits her, I will consider her for it. I’ve shared my thoughts with her, but she hasn’t acknowledged them. She should demonstrate the work her other teachers have done for her. I’m not upset with her,” Noor added.

Resham accuses director Syed Noor of sabotaging her film career

Earlier, Resham made serious allegations against director Syed Noor, claiming he significantly harmed her film career.

Resham, known for her roles in popular films such as Jeeva and Sangam, began her career on television before gaining fame in cinema. Despite her early success, she has recently shifted focus to charity work and stepped back from acting.

In an appearance on the ‘Excuse Me’ podcast with Ahmed Ali Butt, Resham addressed her career and Pakistani cinema, stating, “I recently heard Syed Noor say that I was an unfortunate actress because I ruined myself by working in low-budget films.”

Resham defended her film choices, stating that all actors have ups and downs in their careers, and accused Syed Noor of sidelining her due to his personal feelings for actress Saima. She claimed, “By God, Syed Noor ruined my career, insulting me on set and questioning who would cast me.”
