WEB DESK: The first images of Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai’s cameo in Nida Manzoor’s acclaimed British comedy “We Are Lady Parts” have been released. These images promise an exciting treat for viewers.

Show’s Premise

“We Are Lady Parts” chronicles the adventures of an all-female Muslim punk band, navigating their musical journey’s highs and lows. The latest images show Malala elegantly draped in a blue gown, perched atop a horse, and sporting a cowgirl hat.

Show’s Return

After a successful debut season, the show returns for its second season on May 30. Malala joins an ensemble cast including Anjana Vasan, Sarah Kameela Impey, Juliette Motamed, Faith Omole, and Lucie Shorthouse.

New Season Challenges

In its second season, the band faces new challenges with a renewed artistic mission after their first UK tour. A rival band emerges, threatening to undo all their hard work. As the pressure mounts, the band members begin to question their true desires in the music industry.

Creator’s Insights

Creator Nida Manzoor, inspired by her experiences, revealed that the new season delves deeper into the personal lives of the band members. “Each of them faces new, existential challenges with all the silliness, pratfalls, and banter of season one,” she explained.

Musical Expansion

Manzoor also teased an expansion in the show’s musical scope. “The music is bigger too – more wild original tunes (penned by me and my siblings) and, dare I say it, even better covers,” she added.

Where to Watch

All six episodes of the first season of “We Are Lady Parts” are available to stream on Peacock and Channel 4 in the UK. The show is produced by Working Title Television (WTTV), part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.
