WEB DESK: A company in China is paying its employees to go on dates to help increase the country’s birth rate.

The move also aims to increase workplace productivity by boosting employees’ happiness.

The Shenzhen-based company Insta360 has launched a campaign offering cash incentives for employees to go on dates.

The tech company offers its employees 66 yuan for every valid post that introduces someone from outside the organisation on its internal dating platform.

If workers manage to create and maintain a relationship for three months, they can earn a bigger reward, with both partners and the matchmaker receiving 1,000 yuan each.

Since the started lless than three months ago, no dating bonuses have been given out as of yet.
