Lahore’s local theatre has brought the remarkable story of Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist, Arshad Nadeem, to life with the stage production ‘Achu Nezebaaz’.

The play, which premiered on August 23, has been lauded for its portrayal of Nadeem’s journey from a small-town sports enthusiast to an Olympic champion. Saqi Khan, a skilled theatre artist, takes on the role of Nadeem, delivering a performance that has resonated with audiences.

The production, produced by Muhammad Yusuf and directed and written by Dr. Ajmal Malik, has been warmly received by theatre-goers.

Arshad Nadeem recently made history at the 2024 Paris Olympics, winning a gold medal in javelin and setting a new Olympic record with a 92.9-meter throw. His victory marks the end of a 29-year wait for Pakistan to claim gold in the sport.
