WEB DESK: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has ordered an inquiry into the news of further borrowing from the World Bank for tourism.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Digital’s graphics and stories are not just circulated by journalists and politicians on WhatsApp groups and social media; the government and bureaucracy have also initiated an investigation on Azad Digital’s Urdu story.

Furthermore, A few weeks ago, Azad Digital Urdu reported that while pressing the indebted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the burden of more debts, it has been revealed that another 2 billion 74 crore rupees has been borrowed from the World Bank in the name of promoting tourism.

According to the news, the Communication and Work Department (C&W) has imposed a burden of Rs. 2.74 billion on the provincial exchequer for the tourism department’s project without any approval. Despite lacking authority, the approved project worth Rs. 6 billion has been unlawfully awarded a contract of Rs. 8.74 billion.
