Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Finance Advisor Muzammil Aslam has announced a new initiative called “Life Insurance for All,” which will offer financial assistance to families in the event of the death of the household’s primary earner.

Under this program, individuals below 60 years of age will receive up to Rs1 million, while those above 60 will be eligible for Rs0.5 million.

The provincial government is also working on establishing the country’s first Islamic takaful insurance company, providing Islamic life insurance options.

In addition, Muzammil Aslam highlighted the progress of a 365km controlled-entry road corridor from Peshawar to Dera, which will pass through 12 districts and create new trade routes connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Balochistan and Punjab.

The advisor also mentioned the province’s pioneering achievement of launching Pakistan’s first universal health coverage program.
