Sher Afzal Marwat has publicly acknowledged his respect for the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI)’s decision regarding his party termination due to breach of discipline but has echoed his unwavering loyalty to Imran Khan.

In a statement, he asserted that he was, is, and will remain a supporter of Khan, vowing to do everything in his power to assist in securing Khan’s release.

Regarding his National Assembly seat, he pledged to consult with his constituency and tribe. “There appears to be misinformation and misunderstandings being spread about me,” he said. “I will seek a meeting with Khan to present my position and attempt to address his concerns. If he remains unsatisfied, I will immediately return the seat, which is entrusted to me.”

He expressed hope that Khan would soon be released and offered his sincere apologies if his actions have hurt any leaders or party workers. He also urged party leaders to avoid making public statements against him to preserve mutual respect.

Despite having no political ambitions, he noted that the decision will not impact his future. However, he expressed disappointment over a unilateral decision being made without formally hearing his side of the story. He concluded with a wish for Allah’s support for Pakistan, Imran Khan, and PTI.

On Friday night, PTI fired senior leader Sher Afzal Marwat, citing a breach of discipline. The official notification stated that Marwat had been previously cautioned to adhere to party guidelines and limit his statements.

Despite these warnings, the party’s disciplinary committee found that Marwat repeatedly disregarded the party’s regulations, damaging the party’s image.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan approved Marwat’s termination based on the committee’s findings and recent complaints. The committee suggested that Marwat should resign from his National Assembly seat and seek re-election if he is honorable.
