Imran Khan writing book in prison, journalist reveals

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan is reportedly working on a book while in prison, as revealed by senior journalist Zahid Gishkori in a recent YouTube vlog.

Gishkori disclosed that a close friend of Imran Khan mentioned the former prime minister has been dedicated to writing his book over the past few months. The book’s themes are said to revolve around Khan’s achievements, significant accords, and career highlights since he first came into the spotlight in the 1960s.

According to Gishkori, Khan’s friend visited him a few weeks ago and revealed that over 300 pages of the book have already been completed. However, it remains uncertain whether Khan will publish the book after his release from prison or while still incarcerated.

Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s works and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s “If I Am Assassinated,” Khan has been experiencing elevated thoughts, which he is set to pen down. The title of the book has not been decided yet. Gishkori added that Khan had been highly motivated and in good spirits during the first nine months of his imprisonment. However, he felt disheartened post-elections but has since regained his vigor.
